Optical fiber media converters are mainly divided into single-fiber type and dual-fiber type according to transmission mode, and data reception and transmission are realized by one or two optical fibers. The single fiber media converter adopts WDM technology and typically uses 1310nm and 1550nm wavelengths. Compared to the dual fiber type, the amount of optical fiber used can be cut in half, making it ideal for locations where optical fiber resources are scarce.
